Since
1986, Shades of Green has provided a wide array of exceptional quality
plants and personal service in the heart of Rochester Hills, Michigan. Each
year we strive to enhance the nursery setting, carry unique plant material
and garden accessories, and provide educational programs to give our guests
ideas they can incorporate in their own garden.

 Design Team
At Shades of Green, the in house design
team is responsible for all of our commercial and residential landscape
design projects, from concept to the installation. Educated and
knowledgeable in their field, the team brings fresh, exciting life to the
yards of new homes and existing homes in need of landscape
renovations. When you call Shades of
Green for a landscape design or consultation, you will have the opportunity
to work closely with a designer to develop a landscape design that
perfectly suits you and your lifestyle!

 Nursery Staff
The nursery staff is continually attending seminars, trade
shows and other industry classes in order to offer our guests the latest
knowledge and service. Like a
well-tended garden, our staff is enriched with Michigan Certified
Nurserymen, Master Gardeners, landscape designers, certified pesticide
applicators and certified arborists.
Gardening is the first passion of all the staff at Shades of
Green. Just ask any one of them
about their personal garden and they will be delighted to share their
experiences! When you visit Shades
of Green, you also may get the chance to meet Maya, Orley
& Ebony, the Shades of Green mascots.

 Landscaping Crew
Many of the team members on the landscaping crew have
been employed by Shades of Green for five years or more. Not only do they bring experience to each
job, they perform their work in an energetic and conscientious manner. Each day they set out with drive,
determination, and stamina to perform jobs that are hot, dirty, and
hard. The crews’
professionalism guarantees each project becomes a masterpiece! Due to ever-growing demands, we have
divided our men into three crews: the landscaping crew, the brick crew and
the maintenance crew.

HOURS
Business hours at Shades
of Green vary depending on season. We
remain open through the fall, and continue with plantings and landscape
installations until the ground has frozen.
We are also available year-round (by appointment) to assist you with a
landscape design. Please call ahead

Directions from I-75 to Shades of Green Nursery
Travel on I-75 to exit
number 67, known as Rochester
Road.
Turn north on Rochester
Road and proceed 7.6 miles north to Avon Road. Turn right (east) on Avon Road and proceed one half
mile. Shades of Green is located on
the right (south) side of Avon
Road, where you will be greeted by a green and
white sign bearing our logo.
Directions from M-59 to Shades of Green
Nursery
Travel on M-59 to the
Highway 150 (Rochester Road
exit). Turn north on Rochester Road
and proceed 2.5 miles north to Avon
Road.
Turn right (east) on Avon
Road and proceed one half mile. Shades of Green is located on the right
(south) side of Avon Road,
where you will be greeted by a green and white sign bearing our logo.
